- Tom Homan, President Trump’s border czar, visited the New York Capitol to support Republican efforts to overturn state laws restricting federal immigration enforcement. He emphasized increasing security along the northern border and criticized Governor Kathy Hochul’s sanctuary policies.
- Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University graduate student and permanent U.S. resident, remains detained in Louisiana as legal battles continue over the Trump administration’s plan to deport him for his involvement in campus protests against Israel.
